Lindy

I am 59 years old and have accumulated a library of perhaps 400 cookbooks and books about food (there are too many books of other sorts, as well), an eccentrically equipped kitchen, and a small potted garden on the steps to the porch of my apartment . I also have a friendly blonde cat called "Archie", and a younger tortoiseshell feline with polka-dot paw pads who is called "Anyanka." She is very bad, and seriously adorable.
I am a thorough city dweller, and have no car. I am also a long-time widowed person with a clever, interesting, and loveable adult daughter, an equally excellent son-in-law, and several peerless friends.
I consider myself, in general, a very fortunate (though slightly underfunded) individual. My responsibilities are few and not often odious. I even have a reasonable job which neither fills me with dread nor bores me stiff.
Nonetheless, I fume and rail regularly, and as to the State of Things in general in the US and world, and I feel entirely justified in doing so.

BTW:The watercolor on the banner is the work of an artist called "Landini" (I bought it at a house sale, and can't read the first name. If you have additional information on him/her, please let me know)
